Achievements That Shape New York City’s Future
Among his most significant recent accomplishments, Mr. Pitta played a pivotal role in helping Bally’s secure the land use approvals needed to advance its plan to develop a gaming facility at the Bally’s Golf Links at Ferry Point. The approvals, requiring both a City Council home rule message and a ULURP application, represented a historic moment in New York City governance. For the first time since 1992, a Mayoral veto of a City Council land use action was not overridden, a testament to the strength of advocacy and coalition-building led by Mr. Pitta.
Deep Roots in 9/11 Advocacy
Mr. Pitta’s recognition on this list also underscores his tireless commitment to 9/11 victims and their families. As a co-founder of Pitta & Baione LLP, he has focused his legal practice on legislative advocacy and community outreach to ensure survivors and families receive access to health and compensation benefits. His work builds on a personal history of service, having volunteered with The Twin Towers Fund during high school to assist the families of those lost in the attacks. That early experience shaped his lifelong dedication to advocacy for the 9/11 community.
A Consistent Record of Recognition
Being named to the 2025 Power Players in Public Relations & Lobbying list adds to a long line of honors that recognize Mr. Pitta’s impact and leadership. His accolades include multiple appearances on City & State’s NYC Power 100, the Political Consultants Power 75, and the Top 50 NYC Lobbyists. Each acknowledgment reflects his role as a trusted advisor, advocate, and legal strategist in some of New York’s most important political and policy conversations.
