Gregory Homish, PhD, associate professor and associate chair of community health and health behavior at SUNY-Buffalo’s School of Public Health and Health Professions, has been chosen to serve on the World Trade Center Health Program’s Scientific/Technical Advisory Committee (“STAC”). As mentioned in our earlier blog post, the STAC was established by the James Zadroga 9/11 Health and Compensation Act of 2010 to review scientific and medical evidence in order to make recommendations to the WTC Health Program Administrator, Dr. John Howard, on eligibility criteria and additional covered conditions.
In an official official statement to SUNY-Buffalo Mr. Homish said “I am incredibly honored to have been selected to serve on this committee. The committee’s work is of utmost importance because we want to ensure that policies, procedures and programs offered by the WTC Health Program are the most up to date for those involved with the response to the terrorist attacks.”
